Please hug the ones you love.

Please spare my sharing of this story, but it has affected me deeply. A friend of mine from graduate school, Amy Chesbro, has died -- she was a victim of domestic violence. The sister of Amy's transgendered fiance shot and murdered Amy. The exact motive is not yet known, but how can something so tragic have reason?
As always seems to happen, I haven't kept in touch with Amy in recent years, but I always remembered her as a compassionate, kind-hearted person who wanted to help others.  I felt her spirit was noble and her heart was free.
I cannot believe someone so beautiful could be tragically taken from this world.
Please hug the ones you love.

I want to reach out and hug you. There are no words to convey our feels when senseless violence happens to someone we know or love

I'm so sorry KT, I also just found out a dear friend died. I just can't seem to get my head around the fact that I will never hear her voice again.

Mitch - chill dude, the linked article says "transgender brother", KT is devastated by the death of her friend, now is NOT the time to seek hidden meaning in her words.

Rachel -- No hidden meaning here. Just felt it had to be mentioned because the story has been picked up by the national news, and it's clear the reason why. And yes, I'm not outing anyone.
