Our haunted house

This is our humble adobe.  It is now after the first of October, and Halloween season has officially started. You might say that we like Halloween a little bit more than the average neighbor.

We might be even a little obsessed.

Maybe it's because we are geeks.

Or maybe because we throw an awesome Halloween costume party every year.

But, it is most definitely because my hubby's birthday is October 31st.

This is from 2007, but I just love the costume (The Matrix) ... because I made it.  Yep -- That's my son as Yoda.  My darling daughter is Princess Fiona from Shrek.  I told you we are geeks.

This post was prompted by Mama Kat's writing prompt to "Show us where you live. Not on a map (security please), but take a picture of the view out your front door, back door, or neighborhood."

Awesome!
Some day, I'll have the ambition to decorate my house for any holiday.

There used to be a house on main street in my town that would decorate for every month of the year! It was great, really. Then the people moved away. I miss it. :)

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. Every year I try to out do myself by decorating the yard and house. And every year the honey loses him mind a little bit at the new stuff that I add.
*admits that I have some decorations that stay up year round in the house.
Beautiful house you have by the way.

I can't believe you made that costume! I'm impressed. Did you make a matching Trinity one for yourself?

Gorgeous house! Susan and I are huge Victorian fans, and your house certainly has that throw-back feel to it.
